description: Color photographs of a hand stitched dark blue wool coverlet with burlap backing. It bears the initials MME on the lining side. Found in the Colby Homestead, it is believed that this coverlet was made by Mary M. Everett, wife of Jonathan Everett of New London. Her 7th child and namesake was Mary Everett who became the first wife of Anthony Colby in 1814, and may have received this coverlet as a wedding gift.
