Busy day. Called Richard + left the house about 9:45. We went to Akron + bought a pebble (black-white-slate) rug + mat for $74.00 about-we’ll have to cut it which will be a chore got a few odds + ends + then went out to Glendale to pickup a bookcase. Bought an ash one for about $24-they made an extra shelf for us. Car so loaded Peter could hardly see. I drove my car over to Richards + we went down to Larrebee to meet Peter. Dick painted the whole ceiling in the living room. I finished taking the books out + piling them + then waxed the bookcase. We had picnicky sort of lunch. Peter planning big electrical reforms. Dick left after finishing the ceiling-but first we called Robert Q. All three talked to him. He’s here for 2 weeks + we plan to get together. Peter then decided to leave the wiring til later + we painted the entire living room. Really quite alot to have got done. We were utterly exhausted + pretty dirty-Left about 7:30-Food Giant for Metrical etc. then home. Tried to call Dick but didn’t get him. Called Lyle who was on his way to Florida’s.
