Diet.

Was up fairly early-coffee-metrecal etc. Peter off at 9:30 to take Jenny to the state employment bureau + somewhere else-I worked on + finished my income tax-about $4,950 of deduction. Wrote a stupid covering letter to Dick Rund + sent it all off airmail Special Delivery. I read the rest of Groucho + Me by Arthur Marx-Jiggs climbed up + sat on top of me as I finished it. We went up to Price St-chain letter for the Student non-violent Coordinating committee from Florida Freebus-send blue chip stamps to get a bus to take the voters to the polls-worthy cause-went to class-interesting as always. Diane Turley does very nice work-Bob Roberts too-has never worked outside of class-incredible-After we went to Charles for coffee + tea + to talk-we’re both going to go to class + starting Monday will work-Charlie said we can come 2 for the price of 1-I hate to-But Peter’s so broke at the moment it may be necessary. Went back to Price St to get my savings bonds + shares of Patchpockets-Food Giant to cash check + get groceries-Came home + fixed. Asparageas [asparagus] which I can eat + my diet dinner while Peter ate tamales after we watched TV-the Hitchcock show + then-”The Bad + the Beautiful”-Long, long film but even though I’d seen it before it has good moments. We’d meant to go over Sid’s play again but put it off until tomorrow. Lou is coming down tomorrow night-couldn’t make it Wednesday. Tried to reach Timmy but not at home.
