Well this morning Peter talked to Daddy-He came dashing up to tell me + I heard Daddy thumping up to tell Mother-they both feel better I guess. Daddy wept a touch Peter said and I felt my heart turnover. Peter went to church with Mother + Daddy and I stayed home + caught up on my diary. (Still have about 10 blank days way back around the beginning of this month but I have notes and can fill in-Everyone back at 12:10 or so for sherry. I changed + tried on another of Mother’s knit suits which looks just fine + now is mine-Whee! We went to the Inn to eat which was fun-introduced Peter to Mr. Hobbs + they chatted a little. Rushed back for the football game on TV. Jimmy rushed over to watch it. I read an old book of mine “the Swish of the Curtain” by Pamela Brown. Made tea for Mother + visited. Had thought of going to see “Uncle George” but didn’t. Started a long letter to Bill Welborne-Enclosing check + $20 for New Years. Told him I’d send the money as soon as possible + will cable him when it’s on the way. Also told him about the other copy of his book in L.A. and elaborated on my reservations with suggestions. They are few but I feel them strongly. Didn’t finish the letter as it was time for dinner. Got a little tearful over a can of lobster which was stupid + purely feminine mystique. Had a very nice evening + played bridge afterward-Daddy + I won once more total of $3.00 Whee! Peter + I stayed up for a while after + played Double Dummy which is a rather stupid game + talked. He said I had the nicest family in the world and I think I do. It started to snow again tonight-I’m so glad. Druscilla called about six o’clock. Poor thing wondered when we were coming. Told her I’d stay at Anne’s + not to worry. I have mail at 18th St. Whee Again-
