Didn’t do exercises again-just didn’t feel able. However felt a little better than yesterday although not much. Called Bill who thought our rehearsal was at 1:45 instead of 12:45. Turned out to be wrong. Jane came into see us + said she didn’t want to take Mary to the play-couldn’t blame her. But told her to take a ticket + ask Pheemie (Stuart works nights). Peter took me to Bills + we saw George Womack who really looks awfully well considering. Peter drove us both out. I took copies of my book to give to everyone and I must say they all seemed very pleased. Rehearsal went remarkably well I felt. And so evidently did Bill. Peter came to pick me up about 5:30. He wasn’t feeling any too fine-poor thing. I think we’ve both had some sort of bug. We made clam chowder and tuna fish sandwiches + Jane asked us up to her place but ended up downstairs eating with us. We played Red Dog for about 3 1/2 hours. Alot of fun. Janie won 18 [cents]-Peter + I both lost a little. Janie was going to iron my dress but then Mary Parker asked to speak to her + so she said she’d do it in the morning- Peter cued me + we went to bed about midnight-script under my pillow.
