Peter sent his divorce papers back to Andelson.

Letter from Aposporos who’s off to Greece + wants his deposit back

Up about 10:00 or so-Planned to start diet but didn’t. Lovely sunny day-Futzed around the house. Peter left about noon for Price Street and one o’clock appointment for game show. I ironed my suit again and went off to Desilu at two-got there at two-thirty and saw Bob Gist. Liked him but couldn’t tell how the interview went. On way home stopped at Super S. and bought some necessities and some near necessities like paper clips, rubber bands, electric clock and a wonderful box with drawers to put things in (like Eyore’s birthday jar.) Came home + had call from Miss Wall at Bing Crosby productions saying Bob Gist saw the secretary as very starched + efficient-possibly navy blue. Was utterly confused as I”d already been to the appointment but then discovered I’d obviously gotten the job. Called Miss Wall + I’ll go in Monday with what clothes I have. Called Jack Donaldson + found the pay was $150-wasn’t too happy + told him so-gave him my Kildare figure and mentioned the bit I’d done for Stallmaster-Listen last fall at the same price. He called Milt Hammerman + then called me back-that was all they’d give but at least he’d talked with them + registered an objection so I guess that’s the most important thing. I’ll pick up the script on Monday too I had really horrible crams + lay down for a while. Peter came in with Formica for the kitchen counter. How beautiful that will be. Also a dear note from Mother without one word of reproach for my not having written. OH dear Oh dear. Not from Lyle with another check for “bad loan payments”! He’s at the Greek Theatre now. I slept for an hour or two + then got up feeling even worse. Peter decided the cure was some bourbon. Mary Parker came down and over the course of a long evening we drank a bottle and a half and to be sure the cramps were unnoticeable. Jane called for Dick’s phone number + said Rhonda Fleming couldn’t learn her blocking. Estelle evidently said to her yesterday “why don’t you just try standing still darling?” We called Annie who was glad to hear although when I said “Did I wake you?” she said “What a question” it being four am she may come out at the end of July. I gave Mary Parker $20 to become a serigraphist in return for which I get the final proof of each edition. Seems more than fair. Peter fixed chow mien somewhere along the time + later went to get his guitar. Late, late, late.
